Made from annually renewable plant resources, ECO-Products items include cold cups, hot cups, cutlery and straws made from NatureWorks® PLS biopolymer, Ingeo™. These PLA products, a plastic alternative, are completely non-allergenic and are made from plants, not oil.
Additionally, ECO-Products provides plates made from sugarcane pulp, which is derived from cane stalks after sugar "juice" has been extracted, and is customarily discarded. Turning pulp waste into a renewable resource saves energy reserves and gives another use for the byproduct of sugarcane production.
Avoiding petroleum-based plastics, ECO-Products relies on plant-based materials that break down in a commercial compost facility in 45-90 days.

Green Products
 Corn Plastic - PLA | What is it?
Polylactic Acid (technical name) is created entirely from 100% US-grown corn. Sugars and starches are extracted from corn and converted in a biopolymer. This polymer is made into a resin that can then be converted or thermoformed into usable products. Used for ECO-Products cold cups.

- -Looks and feels like regular plastic
-Compostable in approximately 45-60 days (Made from nature -- returns to nature!)
-Made from renewable resources as opposed to petroleum
-Uses approximately 65% less resources than PET products
-PLA Cold Cups are designed for cold food/beverages only (melting point of approximately 115-131°F, the highest heat tolerence in the Green products industry!)

-PLA replaces petroleum based liners - able to withstand heat
-Creates a leak-proof lining for hot cups and soup cups

 Sugarcane - Bagasse | What is it?
Leftovers from processing sugarcane, primarily grown for cane juice.
Previously, stalk was incinerated or thrown away. Now, stalk is broken down into a pulp that can be molded into products.

Vegetable Plastic - PSM | What is it?
Plant Starch Material (technical name) is created from 80% non-GMO corn, remaining 20% is made of other biodegradable fillers. Fully compostable, PSM products are a functional alternative to plastic for hot and cold foods (up to 220°F). PSM was previously created from potato starch.
